Ellesse and Chris

Monday, January 9, 2017

Sports fanatics Ellesse and Chris married at Briar Rose Hill this past fall. Chris is a huge Cubs fan and little did he know that a few weeks after his wedding day, the Cubs would win the World Series for the first time in 108 years! What a great year for the Smiths! Plus, Ellesse's creativity shined through all of the personalized touches in the wedding - from her baseball Toms shoes to her "something blue" "Mrs. Smith" embroidered under the layers of her wedding dress.

Although it poured down rain on their wedding day, that did not stop our team!  In hopes of it clearing up, we waited until the last minute to move the ceremony under a tent. The first few rows were individual chairs for the family, and the other guests sat at round tables. Ellesse walked out of the Briar Rose house and was covered with an aisle of umbrellas (by the BRH staff) until she reached the tent. You can see it in all of their beautiful photos captured by Kellie Mueller Photography

Pressley and Greg's Reception

Sunday, July 24, 2016

From the the natural backdrop of Briar Rose Hill to the crystal chandeliers and tent draping, Pressley and Greg's reception was the definition of southern elegance. We adored working with their soft blush and cream color palette which our design team accentuated with layered greenery and pops of gold. We blended the elegant decor with some beautiful vintage pieces to tie everything together.  Art Photography did a fabulous job capturing the love and details.

Right before Pressley walked down the aisle. The rain stopped and a rainbow came out.

The rain did not stop this couple from getting the sweetest pictures.

This was the perfect first wedding for us at Briar Rose Hill. We want to thank all of our family,  BRH staff and vendors for making this day possible. Each guest got to take a hatch print home and we love everything about this, so we had to get it framed to remember our first event.
